Where we Live, Work and Play!
Luke 10:25-29; 33-35
“25 And behold, a lawyer stood up to put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal
life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” 27 And He answered, “You shall
love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your
mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” 28 And He said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you
will live.” 29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” (Luke 10:25-29,
ESV)
Our Mission is Rooted in Love, for the purpose that others may have eternal life!
33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion.
34 He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal
and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them
to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come
back.’” (Luke 10:33-35, ESV)
The Mission of God is Personal, and it’s wherever God has placed you!
“Fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things He has done for
you.” (1 Samuel 12:24)
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (1 Peter
4:10)
The Mission of God is tied to Giving, and it’s meant to be a Joyful Investment!
“He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and
increase the harvest of your righteousness.” (2 Corinthians 9:10)
“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the
words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)
