TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 16:1-21
“BETWEEN” SERIES RECAP
Over the past few weeks, we’ve explored what it’s like to be in those tough, uncertain “in-between” times, where we feel stuck—no longer where we used to be, but not yet where we want to go. Today, we’re focusing on trusting God to provide, even when it feels like nothing is changing.
AS YOU PREPARE FOR TODAY’S TEACHING…
What are the in-between places in your life right now?
Are you feeling stuck in a job, a relationship, or a season of waiting?
Are you trusting God to provide for today, or are you focused on tomorrow’s worries?
Reflect on the moments where you may be worrying about the future instead of trusting God for today.
3 IMPORTANT TRUTHS ABOUT TRUSTING GOD TO PROVIDE:
1. God’s provision requires our participation.
The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. —Exodus 16:4
2. God provides not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:19
3. Trusting God means trusting his timing.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. —Ecclesiastes 3:1
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. —Isaiah 55:9
The wilderness is where we learn to trust God’s timing, not ours. —Jeff Manion, “The Land Between”
GOD IS NEVER EARLY. GOD IS NEVER LATE. GOD IS ALWAYS RIGHT ON TIME.
4 PRACTICAL STEPS TO GROW YOUR TRUST IN GOD:
1. Start with gratitude.
2. Ask God for what you need today.
3. Take a small step of faith.
4. Look for God’s provision in unexpected places.
WILL YOU OPEN YOUR HEART TO JESUS TODAY?
We’ve all been in those “in between” moments—times when life is uncertain, and we don’t know what’s next. Maybe you’re feeling that way right now, like you’re in a wilderness, stuck between where you’ve been and where you hope to go. It can feel lonely, confusing, and frustrating. But here’s the good news: you don’t have to navigate this “land between” alone. Jesus offers to walk with you through every season of life, even the tough and uncertain ones. He knows what it’s like to feel lost, and He extends His hand to guide you to a place of peace and hope. Opening your heart to Jesus doesn’t mean all your problems will instantly disappear, but it does mean you won’t have to face them alone. He offers a relationship that can bring you peace, even in the midst of uncertainty. Today, we invite you to take a step of faith and open your heart to Jesus. Let Him be your guide through your “land between,” and discover the comfort and strength that come from knowing you’re not alone.
PRAYER OF ACCEPTANCE
Jesus, I trust You. I acknowledge that I can’t do this on my own. I need Your grace, Your forgiveness, and Your love. Today, I choose to open my heart to You. I ask that You would come in, that You would be the leader of my life, and that I would experience Your peace in ways I never have before. Amen.
OUR MOSAIC PRAYER
May the beauty of God be reflected in our eyes,
The love of God be reflected in our hands,
The wisdom of God be reflected in our words,
And the knowledge of God flow from our hearts,
So that everyone around us might see and believe.
