12 I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for

in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! —John 14:12-14
But if you remain in me and my remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! —John 15:7
At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. 24 You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my , and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. —John 16:23-24


Jesus expected those who believe in Him to carry on His in the world.

is the language of faith:
- Hebrews 11:6 - Anyone who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek him.

The Conditions of the Promise:

1. In Jesus’

- Name represents a person’s nature, character, will.

2. Brings

to the Father.
- James 4:3 - And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.
- Psalm 37:4 - yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth

about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. —Matthew 18:19

And that’s not all. You will have complete and free access to God’s kingdom,

to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven. —Matthew 16:19
