Aligning ourselves with God’s Kingdom agenda should be the greatest ambition and greatest pursuit of our lives.
Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.”
1) Why Are We Talking About Politics in the Church?
Psalm 22:28
“For the kingdom is the Lord’s and He rules over the nations.”
Proverbs 21:1
“The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.”
Revelation 1:5
“On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.”
2) How Should the Kingdom of God Inform Our Politics?
Mark 12:14
“And they came and said to him, “Teacher, we know that you are true and do not care about anyone’s opinion. For you are not swayed by appearances, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? Should we pay them, or should we not?””
Mark 12:15
