Where Wisdom Begins

1 Corinthians 2:1-5

Whether we are intentional or not, we all are communicating messages of who we worship by the way we live, which encourages us to examine how we really are living. What and who are we really living for? What is it that gives us a reason to get up in the morning? Paul wrote this letter to the Corinthian believers with the hope that the passion of their life would move from a worldly focus to following the Spirit of God. So, how do we really live by the Spirit of God?

Mindset
“For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.” v2

Method
“And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever or persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit.” v4

Message

Action Points:
-Total dependence and seeing my life as a worship service to God
-Get to know the Holy Spirit in a deeper way each day
-Enroll myself in the “School of Christ” and in His word to recognize worldly wisdom for what it is
