Date: September 25, 2022
Introduction: Prayer is the energy that enables us, as Christian soldiers, to wear the armor and wield the sword. We cannot fight the battle in our power, no matter how strong or talented we may think we are. David Jeremiah, in his book, Spiritual Warfare said “The Bible, especially the Old Testament, is clear: Battles fought in the strength of the warrior are doomed to defeat, while battles fought in the strength of the Lord are destined for victory” (p 114). When Amalek attacked Israel, Moses went to the mountaintop to pray, while Joshua used the sword down in the valley (Exodus 17:8-16). It took both to defeat Amalek. Moses’ intercession on the mountaintop, and Joshua’s use of the word in the valley. Prayer is the power for victory; however, not just any kind of prayer.
Paul gives us instructions on how to pray if we are going to defeat Satan. What are the instructions?
I. Pray
II. Pray with
III. Pray Being
IV. Pray for All the
