1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Apostles’ Creed: “I believe in… the resurrection of the flesh, life everlasting.”

1. We will

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise…” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
“…For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” — 1 Corinthians 15:22

2. We will

“…flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God… the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” — 1 Corinthians 15:50-52
“…the Lord Jesus Christ… will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” — Philippians 3:21

3. We will

“[God] has set a day when he will judge the world…” — Acts 17:31
“…people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” — Hebrews 9:27
“We will all stand before God’s judgment seat… each of us will give an account of himself to God.” — Romans 14:10-12

4. We will

“God is just… He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord.” — 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10
“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” — Matthew 25:46
“…whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16
“…Why would you choose to die? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone. Repent and live.” — Ezekiel 18:25-32
