1. Read through the story of the lost son in its entirety. After having heard two messages on it, what is new, surprising, or still unresolved?

2. Why do you think someone can be lost even if they grew up in the church?

3. How is it possible to “not get it” when you’re “surrounded by it” all the time?

4. Does the elder brother remind you of yourself? If so, why?

5. What do you think of the Father’s response to the elder brother at the end of this story?
