The Church and The Kingdom
PART 23 - The Kingdom in Eternity Future
Dr. Frank Parrish/ www.world-map.com

1. THE KINGDOM OF ETERNITY FUTURE

A. Fulfillment

consummation.

Example: On their wedding day, a husband and wife say “I do”. They are now married. However, they have not had that first night together to

their marriage.

1) The Kingdom of God

come.
However, His Kingdom is coming in the as well.

2) Many factors in why not everyone is saved, healed and delivered. One of those factors is the

will.

“You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life” JOHN 5:39-40

God will not

our human will.

“Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is (being done) in heaven” MATTHEW 6:10

B. God’s Kingdom: Present or Future?

The answer is

. It is both present and future. His Kingdom is a reality for us to live in, walk in and enjoy the privileges and responsibilities thereof. But the eternal Kingdom is also an inheritance that we are receiving more and more of. And it is also a , in that there is much more to come!

1) An unshakable Kingdom.

“We are receiving a Kingdom which cannot be shaken” HEBREWS 12:25-28

EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD WILL BE SHAKEN HEBREWS 12:27

It is essential that everything that you do be built on this

foundation of Christ and His rulership.

Just because you are a pastor, just because you are doing ministry, it does not mean you are following the pattern (how to do church) that Christ laid out for us in the Scriptures.

THE CHURCH BELONGS TO GOD AND GOD HAS A WAY FOR WHAT HE WANTS TO HAVE ACCOMPLISHED 1 PETER 4:17; EPHESIANS 5:25-27; 1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-20, 15:50; GALATIANS 5:21; EPHESIANS 5:5

WE DO NOT WORK FOR GOD, WE WORK WITH GOD; AND THE WORK WE DO WE ARE TO DO IT HIS WAY

2) His Kingdom is present already.

MATTHEW 6:10 – GOD’S WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS BEING DONE IN HEAVEN

MATTHEW 6:10 is not a prayer for the end of time; instead it is to be a heartfelt request for the power, the ability and the gifts to do God’s will

.

C. His Kingdom is also coming in greater fullness.

1) It begins with the

of Christ.
2 TIMOTHY 4:1; REVELATION 11:15; REVELATION 19

2) The dead in Christ are

never to die again and they will rule and reign with Christ.
LUKE 20:34-38; 1 THESSALONIANS 4:16,17; 1 CORINTHIANS 15:52-58

3) Satan is

and shut in a bottomless pit for 1,000 years.
REVELATION 20:1-5

4) At the end of the Millennium, Satan is

judged and the final resurrection and judgment of all humanity and death is destroyed .
REVELATION 20:11-15

5) New

and a new . We will walk with our God in His direct presence forever and ever.
REVELATION 20-21

6) God’s eternal Kingdom will include:

• All of the Church (true believers)
• Old Testament saints
• The future saved born again remnant of Israel
• And all righteous nations (people groups)

NOW LET US LOOK AT THE KINGDOM AND THE CHURCH
