Sermon Title: The death of death
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:35-58

The Corinthians (and popular Christian view) see life as a 2-step process:
- Life on earth (finite)
- Life in heaven (forever)

The biblical idea about heaven sees life as a 3-step process:
- Life on earth (finite)
- Life in heaven (finite)
- Resurrection (eternal life)

Paulses uses 2 metaphors to help us understand what the resurrection body will look like:
- Agriculture. (vs.36-38)
- The visible world of creation. (vs.39-41)

Paul compares & contrast our current body with our resurrection body (vs.42-44)
- Perishable vs imperishable
- Dishonor vs glory
- Weakness vs power
- Natural vs spiritual

People make 1 of 2 mistakes when we think about death.
- We get really scared of death
- We think death is our friend
- We need to re-learn how to grieve and re-learn how to hope.
