March 5th & 9th
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
—2 Timothy 4:7 NIV
So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
—Galatians 5:1 NLT
You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth? 8 It certainly isn’t God, for he is the one who called you to freedom.
—Galatians 5:7-8 NLT
9 This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough! 10 I am trusting the Lord to keep you from believing false teachings. 12 As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
—Galatians 5:9-10 NLT, 12 NIV
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters.
—Galatians 5:13a NLT
But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature.
—Galatians 5:13b NLT
13c Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
14 For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
15 But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.
—Galatians 5:13c-15 NLT
I make a decision that: I won’t do whatever I want to do.
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
—Galatians 5:16 NIV
For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
—Galatians 5:17 NIV
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
—Hebrews 12:1 NKJV
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
—Hebrews 12:1 NIV
In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
—Hebrews 12:4 NIV
I make a decision that: I lean into the difficult things.
19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear:sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
—Galatians 5:19-21 NLT
What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!
—Romans 6:21 NIV
