Vulnerability of Trust

  1. The people had to trust Joshua because God would challenge them with things that

    their trust in their leader.

  2. Can you imagine how much their fear

    when they heard that Israel had crossed the Jordan and was camped out in their own backyard?

  3. God had different objectives for them to accomplish

    they could enter Canaan.

  4. When God acts, people take

  6. One does not need to be a trained infantry soldier to comprehend the importance of

    any factors that could lead to ineffectiveness before entering hostile territory.

  7. We are called to

    God, whatever the cost.

  8. obedience does not fulfill the requirements of complete obedience, and obedience cannot be considered true obedience.

  9. We only

    what it means to trust when we are vulnerable.

  10. Israel learned what it meant to trust God by

    His commands.

  11. We truly understand the meaning of

    when we are in a state of vulnerability - when we perceive that our lives are out of - when circumstances begin to - and when we encounter challenges that our capacity to control them.

  12. It is important to acknowledge our needs and dependencies and to trust God as we face

    challenges.

  13. Upon entering the Land, the Israelites performed circumcision and celebrated Passover, which reminded them of their
