THE ENEMY IN THIS BATTLE NEVER PHYSICALLY ATTACKED!
John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
HOW the enemy steals, kills and destroys is with
Revelation 12:10
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
The enemy attacked Jesus with accusations…
Matthew 26:59 - 68
59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;
60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,
61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
63 But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.
67 Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,
68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?”
JESUS BLED TO DRAW A LINE IN THE SAND…
THE ACCUSATIONS OF THE ENEMY AGAINST YOU NO LONGER HOLD SWAY…
Matthew 27:27 - 33
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.
32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of the skull,
5 is SIGNIFICANT
…Because Jesus took 5 wounds to defeat the enemy who spoke against you…
- WOUND IN HIS LEFT HAND - representing the work the labor that you do… no longer cursed… but blessed with God.
- WOUND IN HIS RIGHT HAND - representing the anointing on your life.
- WOUND IN HIS RIGHT FOOT - representing our relationships to God and to others
- WOUND IN HIS LEFT FOOT - The left foot is evil… representing the dishonored, the wrong doing, the issues and the problems and the sins in our life that separated us from God.
- WOUND IN HIS SIDE - pierced to ensure he had died… out of his side came blood and water… meant his heart exploded.
5 WOUNDS… but this is the one that took down the enemy.
Jesus died sacrificing His heart for ours.
OUR HEARTS ARE
v. 50 - 53
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Where was Jesus when this happened?

WHEN DAVID DEFEATED THE GIANT GOLIATH…

JESUS TOOK EVERY STRIPE OF ACCUSATION AGAINST YOU - SO THAT YOU WOULD WALK IN FREEDOM!
DAVID TOOK 5 SMOOTH STONES - to defeat the enemy …
JESUS TOOK 5 WOUNDS- to defeat every area the enemy would attack you!
The word “Philistine,” itself means “To wallow in the dust.” - It is a serpent attacking.
He represented the “seed of the serpent,” the enemies of God’s people!
TO STEAL, TO KILL AND DESTROY!
Genesis 3:15
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
THE NAIL IN THE FOOT OF JESUS WENT THROUGH THE HEEL!
… Jesus willingly allowed his heel to be bruised…
SO THAT ONCE AND FOR ALL…..
THE HEAD OF THE ENEMY!
THE GIANT ISSUES IN OUR WAY
THE GIANT SIN THAT WAS IN OUR LIFE
THE GIANT PROBLEMS THAT COME AGAINST US!
THE BLOOD ran down and DESTROYED the head of the enemy!
THE BLOOD DREW A LINE IN THE SAND!
THE EARTHQUAKE SHOOK ANY STRONGHOLD THE GIANT HAD
Romans 8:2
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
DEATH IS NO LONGER SCARY.
SIN IS NO LONGER A GIANT!
Galatians 2:20
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
YOUR PAST IS CHANGED!
YOUR PRESENT IS SECURE!
YOUR FUTURE IS FOR SURE!
THE LIFE WE NOW LIVE IS FULL OF RESURRECTION POWER!
HOLY COMMUNION - RECEIVE THE PROMISE AND SACRIFICE OF JESUS.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
