Jude 1:14-16 (ESV)
It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain advantage.

Genesis 2:18 (ESV)
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

Exodus 18:4 (ESV)
and the name of the other, Eliezer (for he said, “The God of my father was my help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh”).

Deuteronomy 33:7 (ESV)
And this he said of Judah:
“Hear, O Lord, the voice of Judah,
and bring him in to his people.
With your hands contend for him,
and be a help against his adversaries.”

Deuteronomy 33:29 (ESV)
Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you,
a people saved by the Lord,
the shield of your help,
and the sword of your triumph!
Your enemies shall come fawning to you,
and you shall tread upon their backs.”

Psalm 33:20 (ESV)
Our soul waits for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.

Genesis 3:16 (ESV)
To the woman he said,
“I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing;
in pain you shall bring forth children.
Your desire shall be contrary to your husband,
but he shall rule over you.”

Genesis 4:1 (ESV)
Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.”

Genesis 4:17-24 (ESV)
Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. When he built a city, he called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch. To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad fathered Mehujael, and Mehujael fathered Methushael, and Methushael fathered Lamech. And Lamech took two wives. The name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. Adah bore Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe. Zillah also bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.
Lamech said to his wives:
“Adah and Zillah, hear my voice;
you wives of Lamech, listen to what I say:
I have killed a man for wounding me,
a young man for striking me.
If Cain’s revenge is sevenfold,
then Lamech’s is seventy-sevenfold.”

Genesis 5:21-24 (ESV)
When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah. Enoch walked with God after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.

1 Enoch 1:9 (ESV)
Behold! He comes with tens of thousands of His holy ones to pass judgement on them all.

The Awe of God p.138:
“Trembling at His Word involves joy and gladness in the core of our being. If absent, it’s only a matter of time before circumstances reveal the lack of joy. I will never forget the time I discovered the five sins that kept Israel from its destiny: craving evil things, worshiping idols, sexual immorality, testing God, and complaining (1 Corinthians 10:6-10). When I read “complaining,” I about hit the ceiling! I cried out, ‘What? Complaining! How can complaining be in a list with those other massive sins?’

I heard the Holy Spirit say, ‘Son, complaining is a serious sin in My eyes.’ He showed me that complaining protests, ‘God, I don’t like what You are doing in my life, and if I were You I would do it differently.’

He then said, ‘It is an affront to My character, it’s rebellion to My will, and overall, it’s a gross lack of holy fear.’”

Implications:
1. God is watching it all. He doesn’t miss a thing.
2. Being ungodly is often even easier than we realize.
3. What if there are no neutral actions? How does that change your approach to life? How intentional would you be?
