MORE THAN ENOUGH
More than Enough - My Portion and My Provider
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. —Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. —Lamentations 3:22 - 26
The word portion is translated in Hebrew as “inheritance.”
Then the Lord said to Aaron: “You shall have no inheritance in their land, nor shall you have any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel. —Numbers 18:20
Your inheritance is not a What but a Who!
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. —Ephesians 1:3 (NIV)
“What” leads to lack but the “Who” leads to increase.
There is never lack when you hope in God as your portion.
Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. —Psalm 16:5 - 6 (NIV)
When God is your portion you can trust that He will be your provider.
God will allow lack to touch our lives for two reasons:
-To reveal idols in our life.
-To reveal that we are not self-sufficient.
How you wait matters!
“The Lord is my portion and my inheritance,” says my soul; “Therefore I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.” —Lamentations 3:24 (AMP)
Satan is the king of the counterfeit.
Choose to wait on God as your portion and provider with hopeful expectation.
