Matthew 2:9-12

9 After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. 11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. 12 And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.

REVIEW

Where did the wise men meet Jesus and His family?

What was their intention of seeking after Christ? How did that differ from Herod?

What things did God use to lead them?

REFLECT

Think back to where it was that you met Jesus. What did He place before you to lead you to Himself?

How does He continue to lead you? Do you listen?

God has supplied many ways to fight and endure temptation without falling into sin. How often do you rely on His strength versus your own?

RESPOND

Christ is always leading us to Himself. We should strive to be more like Christ. In what ways can you devote yourself to following after Him?
