  1. Charles Finney said, “Repentance is nothing else than a

of obedience to God. Just as in the case of a converted sinner, the first step is a deep repentance, a breaking down of heart, a getting down into the dust before God, with deep humility, and a forsaking of sin.”

  2. Charles Spurgeon said, “

is to make a right estimate of one’s self.”

  3. Humility is the

, because without it, other than for religious practices, we would never recognize the need to pray to a Holy God!

  4. According to James 4:16, the words “earnest heartfelt” refer to one possessing a humble spirit - and “continued prayer” speaks of having persistence and patience which provides the tremendous power and dynamic working of the Holy Spirit

    us.

  5. I’m convinced that the Lord is not asking if He can find faith - such as faith in God or in Himself on the earth. Instead, I believe He’s referring to a continual, persistent, bulldog, tenacious, praying, righteous man or woman who

    until the answer comes!

  6. God is looking for a “BULL DOG TENACITY” in us that says, “Bless God, I will

    be denied!”

  7. In 1st Samuel 12 we can see that prayerlessness is not only a sin, but a definite

    to genuine revival.

  8. God is saying there are no acceptable reasons or excuses for us to

praying for people who have wronged us.

  9. When we refuse to obey the revealed will of God, it is

    !

  10. God’s Will is that we:
    a) Pray

    . (Matthew 18:1)
    b) Pray without . (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
    c) Pray . (1 Timothy 2:8)
    d) Pray (not for) everything. (Philippians 4:6)
    e) Him in everything. (Philippians 4:6)

  11. Many of the failures in our lives are due to our failure to

    and trust God!
