Worship: Making God Ultimate
February 4, 2024

Pastor Bryan Walmer

7 On that day David decreed for the first time that thanks be given to the Lord by Asaph and his relatives: 8 Give thanks to the Lord; call on his name; proclaim his deeds among the peoples. 9 Sing to him; sing praise to him; tell about all his wondrous works! 10 Boast in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. 11 Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. 12 Remember the wondrous works he has done, his wonders, and the judgments he has pronounced, 13 you offspring of Israel his servant, Jacob’s descendants—his chosen ones. 1 Chronicles 16:7-13 CSB

Worship is ascribing ultimate worth to something or someone.

Worship is something we all do.

Worship involves the whole person.

We can worship God with every aspect of who we are and what we do.

Worship involves remembering.

Singing helps us remember who God is and what He has done.

Remembering involves keeping what God has done for us personally at the front of our minds.

Worship involves thanks.

We value everything for which we are thankful.

Maintaining thankfulness is a great way to worship.
