Multiplication Culture

“ ³⁵ Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the Kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. ³⁶ When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” —Matthew 9:35-36

“ ³⁷ Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. ³⁸ Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest fields.’” —Matthew 9:37-38

(1.) We will reach our Kingdom potential by creating a culture of multiplication

“ ⁸ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” —Acts 1:8

“ ⁴⁷ And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” —Acts 2:47

“ ¹ A great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea… ⁴ Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.” —Acts 8:1 & 4

“ ³¹ Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, and lived in the fear of the Lord.” —Acts 9:31

“ ² While they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. ³ So after they fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.” —Acts 13:2-3

(2.) God has committed to us the ministry of reconciliation

“ ¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. ¹⁹ Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” —Matthew 28:18-20

“ ¹ The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. ² He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, ³ he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. ⁴ Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me… ⁵ You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. ⁶ Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” —Psalm 23

“ ¹⁷ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! ¹⁸ All of this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. ²⁰ We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.” —2 Corinthians 5:17-20
