Believing in the Resurrected Lord Jesus John 20
April 20, 2025

Mary
She started out not knowing what to believe.
She got others and investigated the facts
She met the risen Savior during the investigation.

Have you investigated Jesus and the bible?
If you seek Him, you will find Him - Jeremiah 29:11-14

John
He was eager to see what had happened to Jesus
When he saw the empty tomb, he believed.

Thomas
He wanted to see it with his own eyes.
He wanted the incredible experience that all the others had.
He wanted to see and touch.

Have you ever heard a great testimony and thought: Well sure! If that would have happened to me, I would also believe.

Jesus met Thomas, in the middle of his doubt

Jesus commanded Thomas:
Stop Doubting! Do not BE unbelieving!
(Don’t let your doubt determine your actions. Don’t let doubt be consume you.)

Jesus commanded Thomas:
Start Believing! BE believing!
Let your belief determine how you act, how you talk, how you love, what you do, what you won’t do.

Let your belief dictate your lifestyle and your mindset.

What would your life look like if you TRULY believed and did not doubt.

John 14:8
Philip *said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”

John 20:29
Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed

What do you say about Jesus? What proofs, evidences, things do you need to truly believe. Not like a surface belief but a deep felt, this will change everything in my life, kind of belief?

What more would God have to do for you to believe Him and take Him at His word?

John 20:30-31
“Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.”

John 3:16-18

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17 “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
18 “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
