1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you–unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried …

God loves the world.
Our sins were paid.
Salvation is by grace through faith.
Power over sin and death is available.
Eternal life is promised.
Live in the light.
THE PAUSE: 10 MINUTES WITH GOD
MONDAY | THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL
PASSAGE: Romans 1:16
PAUSE: The Gospel is truly good news! The bad news is that our sins condemn us and separate us from a holy God. The good news is that by faith alone in Christ alone, we can be saved from sin, death, and eternal condemnation.
PRAYER: Father, thank you for the power of the Gospel. I thank you that my salvation is totally free in Christ Jesus. I rejoice in this good news today.
TUESDAY | SET FREE
PASSAGE: Romans 6:22
PAUSE: Before Christ, all we could do was sin. But now, by the power of the Gospel, by trusting in Christ, we have been set free from the power of sin. We have a choice, a choice to follow Christ and to obey His commands. Sin is no longer in control of our lives. By the power of the Gospel, we have been set free.
PRAYER: Father, forgive me of all my sins. I repent of my sinful ways, help me by the power of the Gospel to live for You and not myself. Help me to be holy!
WEDNESDAY | THE GOSPEL: WHAT IS IT?
PASSAGE: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
PAUSE: The Apostle Paul wanted the early church to know the Gospel! For Paul, the Gospel begins with Christ dying on the cross for our sins. Christ died for all our sins - past, present, and future. The Gospel ends with Christ’s resurrection from the dead. Without the resurrection, our faith is futile.
PRAYER: Father, I believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Help me to share this good news with my family, friends, and neighbors this week.
THURSDAY | FREE GIFT
PASSAGE: Romans 6:23
PAUSE: It is impossible to earn our salvation! There is nothing that we can do to earn God’s love and acceptance. Salvation is a gift; it is described clearly as a “free gift.” A gift we receive through faith in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
PRAYER: Father, help me to stop trying to earn my salvation. Create in me a heart that is thankful and appreciative of the “free gift” of salvation.
FRIDAY | FOR GOD SO LOVED
PASSAGE: John 3:16
PAUSE: The Gospel is not an impersonal transaction between us and God. The Gospel is relational. It is about God’s personal love for each one of us. God’s love for us is sacrificial. He sent His one and only Son to die for us! God’s love is real and available to everyone. He died for the whole world, and He loves us deeply.
PRAYER: Father, may I never forget the great and everlasting love that You have for me in Christ Jesus. Thank you for Jesus Christ and eternal life!
