Isaiah 2:1-22

2:2 | In the latter days refers to a time in the future when God would visit the earth to bring judgment and salvation. From the perspective of the NT, this takes place at the second coming of Christ. This will mean salvation and blessing not only for Israel but for people from all the nations who will learn God’s ways and worship Him (Micah 4:1).

2:8-20 | Isaiah draws a correlation between idol worship, which should not be forgiven (lit., “allow yourself to give in”), and approaching judgment.

2:12 | On that day, idols will be treated like trash. Pride deceives people in to assembling an idol-filled culture because idolatry gives people a feeling of control and power.
