We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. —Hebrews 6:19

Four things to your soul:

I. Cultivate God’s

.

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. —Psalm 62:5

…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. —Isaiah 40:31

II. Stand on God’s

.

My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word. —Psalm 119:81

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. —Isaiah 41:10

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. —Isaiah 26:3

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. —John 16:33

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. —Psalm 32:8

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. —Matthew 11:28

For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. —Deuteronomy 20:4

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. —Romans 8:28

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,”  says the Lord, who has compassion on you. —Isaiah 54:10

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. —I John 1:9

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:19

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. —Isaiah 40:8

III. Understand God’s

.

And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. —Romans 5:2-4

That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” —Mark 4:35-41

IV. Live with an eye on

.

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ… —Titus 2:11-13

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen. —2 Timothy 4:18

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. —I Corinthians 15:58
