Introduction:
The Acts of the Apostles is a book in the Bible that shows the Holy Spirit in action in the people who followed Jesus after His resurrection. It emphasizes a “Go and Be” lifestyle. This collection highlights the ministries of Peter and Paul through the eyes of the book’s author, Luke. Luke retells the stories of the first Church focusing on its formation, fervor, and fortitude.
“These men who have turned the world upside down have come here too,” —Acts 17:6b
The key verse Acts 1:8 provides the outline for the entire book:
- The Formation of the Church – Jerusalem (1:1-7:60)
- The Fervor of the Church – Judea and Samaria (8:1-12:25)
- The Fortitude of the Church – Uttermost Parts of the Earth (13:1-28:31)
In this collection, we will look at the sermons that Peter and Paul preached that led to the spread of the story that Jesus is alive.

And if you think differently about anything, God will reveal this also to you.” —Philippians 3:13-15

For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will give praise to God. 12So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.” —Romans 14:10-12
