Ephesians 2:8-9

never grows old.

“It is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” —Ephesians 2:8-9

“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?” —James 2:14 (ESV)

“Faith without works is dead.” —James 2:17

James and Paul are preaching the

Gospel.

“But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.” —Acts 15:11 (ESV)

The church moves forward with the

gospel- we are saved by grace through faith .

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” —Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)

Good works are the result of

faith.

“If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?” —James 2:15-16 (ESV)

Useless faith is characterized by

compassion.

“You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe – and shudder!” —James 2:19 (ESV)

Useless faith is characterized by a

conviction.

We find all

of people in the family of God.

“My judgment is that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.” —Acts 15:19
