Not Enough Time
Stewardship: Week 5
Part of Stewardship—Cultivating a God-Centered Approach to Resources
February 2, 2025

Time is a gift from God. We are called to steward it wisely.

The issue isn’t the amount of time we have; it’s how we manage and prioritize it.

We can either waste time or invest time.

2 ‘Everything is meaningless,’ says the Teacher, ‘completely meaningless!’” Ecclesiastes 1:2

12 I, the Teacher, was king of Israel, and I lived in Jerusalem. 13 I devoted myself to search for understanding and to explore by wisdom everything being done under heaven. I soon discovered that God has dealt a tragic existence to the human race. 14 I observed everything going on under the sun, and really, it is all meaningless—like chasing the wind.” Ecclesiastes 1:12-14

“When you kill time, remember that it has no resurrection.” – A.W. Tozer

Wasting time often involves doing things that distract us from what truly matters.

“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.” Colossians 3:2

We are investing our time when what we do is done with eternity in mind.

15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.16 Make the most of every opportunity…” Ephesians 5:15-16

Invest in your personal spiritual growth.

Invest in people.
