Taste and See the Lord is Good
Associate Pastor Dan Burleson
Psalm 34:1-10
Main point: Psalm 34:1-10 invites us to taste and see that the Lord is good in four ways. We find that goodness as we learn to celebrate, pray to, enjoy and fear the Lord.
I. Celebrate God!
Verses 1-3
II. Pray to God!
Verses 4-7
III. Enjoy God!
Verse 8
IV. Fear God!
Verses 9-10
Here are some books which may assist you in deeper study and application of the truths presented in today’s sermon. While the elders cannot endorse every concept presented in each book, we do believe these resources will be helpful in profitably thinking through today’s topic.

The Questions for Spiritual Growth
Our Cornerstone mission is To Know Christ and Make Him Known. Community Groups help us to live out our mission as we discuss the Scripture passage from the sermon, how to apply it, and pray for one another.
In what way is praising God a choice? If praising God is a choice, then what are we choosing between? We either praise God or do what? Share an example of a time when you had to choose how you responded to a difficult circumstance.
What does it mean to bless the Lord “at all times?” Is this even possible? How does one boast in the Lord? How does David’s continual praise of God in verses 1-3 challenge your personal worship practices?
Who can you invite to praise God together with you? Why is corporate praise and worship important?
What kind of fears may David have been facing at this time? How did he go about seeking the Lord? Can you share an example of how God has delivered you?
How does one “taste and see that the Lord is good?”
Reflect on a time when you experienced God’s goodness as David describes in verses 8-10. What was that like?
Homework: Pray through Psalm 34:1-10 this week three to five times.
