Wisdom Beckons All: Proverbs 8:1-36
Solomon is imploring his son to listen to Godly wisdom. Previously he had characterized the whispers of immorality as a woman of the night. A quiet sultry voice, a woman moving under cover of night. Using her wiles to lure the unsuspecting down and path of pleasure, but for a season, but ultimately spiraling down to doom and destruction. Yet again he uses the idea of woman to contrast immorality with Godly wisdom. Lady wisdom is unashamed. She beckons in the city and the country,. The valleys and the peaks.
