Matthew 16:15-17 “‘But you,’ he asked them, ‘who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ the Son of the living God.’ Jesus responded, ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven.’”
Without the Spirit of God moving through a person, to communicate the heart, character and plans of God, the person has no power to reveal those things on their own.
John 15:26 “But I will send you the Advocate – the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.”
John 16:13-14 “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me.”
