Questions:
What are some examples of products or services that have a lifetime warranty? Why would manufacturers or business offer lifetime warranties for their products or services?
In Romans 7:1-3, Paul explains the “law of marriage,” describing it as a lifetime commitment. According to this “law,” what is the only time by God’s law that a marriage has ended?
In Romans 7:4, Paul explains the previous condition of being “married” to the law; that it was a lifetime commitment. However, what did the body of Christ do for us regarding that “marriage” to the law? What did the end of that “marriage” to the law free us up to do, as per this verse?
When Paul says in verse 4 that when we “belong” to Him who has been raised from the dead, there was a purpose for it. According to this verse, what was that purpose?
What do you think is involved with “bearing fruit to God?” What are some examples of this? How would you evaluate the fruit produced to God coming from your life? What needs to change?
In Romans 7:6, Paul describes this bearing fruit to God as being connected to serving in “a new way of the Spirit.” What is involved with serving “in the new way of the Spirit? In order to serve the Lord in the “new way of the Spirit,” what would you identify as the next step you need to take?
