Sunday’s Message – Today is Youth Sunday. It is a time to highlight and invest in the next generation. Our message will be from the book of Daniel. It is so relevant to our youth, and really all people, because of the cultural pressures that we currently live in. We see in Daneil a faithful young man who did not bow to the temptations around him. To be a Daniel and take a stand in a hostile world, one must make some commitments. First, we have to allow the Word of God to shape our character. Second, we have to remain true to God no matter the consequences or how high the cost. Lastly, we must also realize that when we honor God, He will honor us.

Weekly Fighter VerseDaniel 5:21 “The most high God is sovereign over the kingdoms of men”

Notes:

  1. I will allow the Word of God to shape my character. Daniel 1:1-7

  2. I will be true to God no matter the consequences or how high the cost. Daniel 1:8-16

When Daniel took a stand, it was PUBLIC, CONSISTENT and COURTEOUS.

  1. I will honor God and He will honor me. Daniel 1:17-21

Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever, but now the Lord declares: far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.” - 1 Samuel 2:30

When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. - Proverbs 16:7
