
Title: Who Is the Spirit?
Text: Jesus’ Baptism from Mark 1:4-5; Luke 3:16; John 1:29-31; Matthew 3:16-17
BIG IDEA: The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who brings us into God’s heart of love.
Key Points:
1. We see the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - all present at Jesus’ baptism and at the Creation of the world.
2. At the centre of the universe is a relationship - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who is ONE God, in THREE Persons, who are EQUAL to one another.
3. We are made in God’s image for relationships too!
4. The Holy Spirit longs to bring us into the heart of God, the centre of the Trinity, where we experience God’s love.

-Have you ever had a life-changing experience of awe and love?
-Which person of the Trinity have you been most drawn to throughout your life?
-What would it mean for you to be drawn right into the centre of God’s Trinitarian love?
-What difference would it make in your life if you lived knowing that you are God’s beloved child and he is pleased with you?
Key Prayer:
…I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
