Wk3 KINGS MESSAGE: Divided Attention

2 Chronicles 16:9 BSB For the eyes of the LORD roam to & fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully devoted to Him.
…You have acted foolishly in this matter. From now on, therefore, you will be at war.”
GOD is LOOKING for a Heart FULLY Devoted to Him!

This is NOT about My STRENGTH…THIS is about My SURRENDER!

(…8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. )
2 Cor 12:9 9 But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.
10That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.…
Jesus said I have given you the keys to the Kingdom… you can break this!
I will Sustain… I will give you STRENGTH in this STORM
Im going to use this for my Glory

(Leave Space here in Notes to write Saul David Solomon in a Column)

1 Kings 11: 9 9 Now the LORD grew angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice. 10 Although He had warned Solomon explicitly not to follow other gods, Solomon did not keep the LORD’s command.
11Then the LORD said to Solomon, “Because you have done this and have not kept My covenant & My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will tear the kingdom away from you & give it to your servant.
I am LED by WHO I LISTEN To
2 Chron 10 1 Rehoboam went to Shechem, where all Israel had gathered to make him king. 2When Jeroboam son of Nebat heard of this, he returned from Egypt, for he had fled to Egypt to escape from King Solomon. 3 The leaders of Israel summoned him, and Jeroboam and all Israel went to speak with Rehoboam. 4“Your father was a hard master,” they said. “Lighten the harsh labor demands and heavy taxes that your father imposed on us. Then we will be your loyal subjects.”
(jump to Vs 6 … Rehoboam says come back in 3 days)
6Then King Rehoboam discussed the matter with the older men who had counseled his father, Solomon. “What is your advice?” he asked. “How should I answer these people?”
7The older counselors replied, “If you are good to these people and do your best to please them and give them a favorable answer, they will always be your loyal subjects.”
8 But Rehoboam rejected the advice of the older men and instead asked the opinion of the young men who had grown up with him and were now his advisers. 9“What is your advice?” he asked them. “How should I answer these people who want me to lighten the burdens imposed by my father?”
10The young men replied, “This is what you should tell those complainers who want a lighter burden: ‘My little finger is thicker than my father’s waist! 11Yes, my father laid heavy burdens on you, but I’m going to make them even heavier! My father beat you with whips, but I will beat you with scorpions!’”
12Three days later Jeroboam and all the people returned to hear Rehoboam’s decision, just as the king had ordered. 13 But Rehoboam spoke harshly to them, for he rejected the advice of the older counselors 14 and followed the counsel of his younger advisers. He told the people, “My father laid heavy burdens on you, but I’m going to make them even heavier! My father beat you with whips, but I will beat you with scorpions!”
Consider the COST of the Counsel

Rev 3:20 20“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne. 22“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.”
