CHILD/FAMILY DEDICATION
Sunday, May 11, 9:00 and 10:45am
What is child/family dedication? It is the promise of parents to offer their
child to God and to dedicate themselves to raising the child for the glory of
God.
Why do we offer child/family dedication? This is our biblically-based way
of helping parents affirm that children are gifts from God and should be
dedicated to God.
What happens at child/family dedication? It is a brief but beautiful
ceremony offered during each service on Mother’s Day. Pastor Rick will lead
the church and the parents to covenant together to raise the child to love
God fully and live for God all their lives.
At what age should my child be dedicated? While the dedication is usually
for infants and younger children, we also allow older children and their
parents to participate.

SAILS SIGHT AND SOUND TRIP (55+)
Wednesday, June 4, 11:00am
All SAILS are invited to go to the Sight and Sound Theater to see the 11:00am
show NOAH. After the show we will also be having lunch together at the
Amish restaurant Bird in Hand. There is an opportunity to stay overnight
and on Thursday morning we will visit a replica of the Old Testament
Tabernacle. Many will drive home from there, but you can choose to stay
over Thursday night and spend Friday visiting the beautiful Amish markets
and shopping areas. We have nothing scheduled for Friday and this will be on
your own.
1. Purchase Noah tickets through Emmanuel Church.
Decide how many nights you are staying. You are on your own to make
hotel reservations (check out the Paul Revere Best Western).
2. Secure your own transportation. We will be trying to match drivers with
people needing a ride, keeping in mind some want to spend 1-2 nights in
Lancaster.
3. Call 410-257-9188, M-Th, 10-4 or email info@emmanuelchurch.tv and let
Pastor Stan or Bibi know if you are going to lunch and/or the Tabernacle
so we can secure enough seats. Lunch is a full meal and includes tip and
will run about $30 per person.
4. NOAH tickets are $82.44 per person. Get yours today
by scanning the QR code, on the Emmanuel app, or at
emmanuelchurch.tv/events.
If you are interested in participating, please sign up on
your Connect Card or sign up on the
Emmanuel app or at emmanuelchurch.tv/events.
