INTRODUCE: When have you seen an answer to a prayer that can only be from God?

PRAYER: Begin the time by praying together

DISCUSS:
1. Describe a time you felt like God was providing for you from unlikely sources like the ravens and the poor who provided during the famine.
2. Have you experienced a change in your faith due to an experience similar to the woman seeing her son resurrected? What did that look like?
3. Do you know any prayer warriors in your life who can pray for rain through their faith like Elijah? What have you learned from their faith?
4. Have you ever felt the “loneliness of faithfulness”? How has God provided for you during that loneliness?
5. Where do you feel loneliness in your faith? (at home, at work, in relationships, etc)
6. When have you experienced “powerful and effective prayer” similar to Elijah?

PRAYER: Lord draw us close to you so we can see you in the midst of our loneliness and show us your power and will through our prayers.
