Casting the Vision for 2019 (5779)
Each year I seek the Lord for a Word concerning the year we are entering. I want to know the Lord’s heart for me personally and for our church. The Lord has impressed upon my heart some very specific things for this year.
The Lord has said that 2019 is the year of the family. A time when families will heal and be reunited. He said it’s a time when we are to focus on our family and to pour ourselves into them-to love them unconditionally, to train them in the ways for the Lord, and to also bring correction and restructuring within the home.
2019 is also a year of harvest. We will see our loves ones in our families come to Christ and be radically changed from the inside out.
It is also a year of harvest for lost souls in our community. We will see more and more people getting saved in our services and out in our communities. It’s a time of evangelism-winning people one-on-one and in churches, stadiums, and auditoriums.
2019 is a year of unity in the body of Christ. The Lord says, “I’m calling my people, the ecclesia, the church, to a place of unity where denominations and church names are in the background; where my people can come together without competition and come together to unite under the cross for the salvation of this Valley.” It’s a year for Pastors and Leaders to come together in unity to pray and work together like never before.
It’s a year of Community. The Lord is still highlighting and focusing on becoming “community” to one another and becoming community through our LifeCare Ministries, through outreaches, and community projects. This is also part of the evangelism God is calling us to. People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.
The Lord says, “This year will be a year of unspeakable joy, a year of prosperity, and a year of healing.” The Scripture the Lord gave me for this is 3 John 2 (NKJV) 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
And finally, but certainly not least, 2019 is a year of Prayer & Intercession. It’s a time to pray like never before where we need to hear God’s voice and intercede for the things on His heart. It’s a time of birthing things in the Spirit through travail. It’s certainly not the year to slack off on praying. We need to increase in our prayer and intercession. And as we increase in our “pressing in” through prayer the Lord says, “I will pour out My presence and glory like never before on those who are willing to seek Me and pray. You will see change that you never thought you would see. You will see things you never thought you would see! I will exceed all expectations says the Lord.”

As we go through the first few months of the year, I will be expounding on each one of these prophetic words from the Lord, explaining in more detail and letting you know of the things that are planned.
Today I will be expoundign on The Year of the Family-
The Lord wants to reunite our families. We are in the families we are in because God chose to put us there, whether biologically or through adoption.
Families were in the heart of God from the very beginning. God Himself is referred to as our Heavenly Father and Jesus is referred to as the Son of God.
We as believers are also referred to as the Bride of Christ and Jesus is our Bridegroom.
God is very PRO-FAMILY!
1 Peter 3:1-2 (NLT) In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then, even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over 2 by observing your pure and reverent lives.
1 Peter 3:7 (NLT) 7 In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.
John 10:9-11(NKJV) 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
Psalm 91:1-7 (NKJV) 1He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.

-A time when families will heal be and be reunited.
God is giving special grace for families to heal, reunite, and reconcile. If you’ve been estranged from someone in your family, it’s time to make it right. It’s time to forgive. It’s time to put away old hurts and arguments. Begin to fast and pray about your situation, then listen for God to tell you when to move.
Malachi 4:6a (NKJV) 6 And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers,…
-A time for us to focus on our family and to pour ourselves into them, to love them unconditionally, to train them in the ways for the Lord.
Mothers and Fathers, it’s time to begin teaching your children about God at home. It’s time to open the Scriptures with them. We can’t only send our children to church and expect them to learn everything they need to know. Church should be supplemental (in addition to) to what you are teaching your children at home.
If we don’t teach our children to stand for God and His Word, they will fall for anything. Many of our children are going off to college and coming back atheists and being brainwashed with human secularism, being told there is no God and religion is just a crutch for the weak. It breaks my heart to see this happen!

-A time to also bring correction and restructuring within the home.
There may be some things in your home you will have to correct and restructure in your home. I’m a big believer in the family meal! Try to have at least one family meal a day where you all sit around the table and share about your day. It’s a time to reconnect with your spouse and children. Even teenagers need that interaction, probably even more!
You may need to do a spiritual house cleaning where you rid your house of things you know that do not please the Lord and are welcoming spirits of anger, rage, division, and witchcraft into your home, such as, violent video games, demonic posters, pornography, things of the occult, alcohol, or drugs.
These things invite the enemy to come in and stir up trouble in your home.
Deuteronomy 7:26 (NKJV) Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. You shall utterly detest it and utterly abhor it, for it is an accursed thing.

The Philippian Jailer Saved
Acts 16:25-34 (NKJV) 25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. 28 But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.”
29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.
A Nobleman’s Son Healed
John 4:46-53 (NKJV) 46 So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. 47 When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. 48 Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
49 The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”
50 Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. 51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”
52 Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.

Institution of the Lord’s Supper
1 Corinthians 11:23-32(NKJV) 23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
Examine Yourself
27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
