Dead End!? – is it?
Luke 7:11-17
11 Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. 12 As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out-the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her.
Dead end is not a dead end!
Psa 77:19-20
19 Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters - a pathway no one knew was there! NLT
Sometimes, we go through real tough situations which look like a dead end. Or is it? One encounter with Jesus will turn your situation around. You will see what Jesus sees and that He gives and He qualifies.
1. Jesus sees
Luke 7:13
3 When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. “Don’t cry!” he said. NLT
Compassion
Psa 145:9
The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made
Prayer of faith
Jas 5:15
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. NKJV
2. Jesus interrupts
Luke 7:14
14 Then he went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”

3. Jesus gives

He bore your diseases

16 They were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.” 17 This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country.
