Please read Luke 24:1-12 and answer the following questions:

1. What do you think the women might have been thinking and feeling when they saw that the stone was rolled away from the tomb? What does their presence at the tomb with the spices tell you about their attitudes toward Jesus?


2. What hope and encouragement did the angels give the women?


3. From Mark 9:30-32, why did they not remember Jesus’ words as told in Luke 24:7 until after He rose from the dead?


4. How did the disciples respond to the women? How did Peter respond? If you were among them, what thoughts would be going on in your mind?


5. What are the different proofs of Jesus’ resurrection that were listed in this passage? How do those proofs help you in your faith and following of Jesus as risen Savior?


6. What is one great thing about your God you can take away from this passage?
