March 31st Easter
Washes disciples feet (saying you call me teacher and Lord and that’s correct because that is who I am… But now that I your teacher and Lord have washed your feet you must wash one another feet. I’ve sent you an example so you should do as I have done for you.)

Jesus Predicts Judis Betrail
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
Jesus Predicts his death
John 16:20 Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
John 16:31-33 Jesus replied. ‘A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. ‘I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.’
The Garden of Gethsemane
Matthew 26:36-39 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, ‘Sit here while I go over there and pray.’ He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, ‘My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.’
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed.

Jesus, life, ministry, and teaching, along with his death, burial, and resurrection give us a perfect picture of God’s incredible love for humanity.
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
For God did not send his Son to humanity to condemn them, but to save humanity through himself.
That is how he has revealed himself in his life, ministry and teaching… through his death, burial and resurrection.
Have you felt isolated and alone? The lepers of Jesus Day did also… they were required to yell to all passersby “unclean” as a warning, but Jesus ignored their warning and embraced them, breaking the power of their isolation.
Have you been labeled to black sheep of the family? Prodigals find their heavenly father, wants them restored, not condemned, Embraced rather than shunned, to get a party not lecture.
Have you trained your integrity to get money? Jesus will still identify with you as he did, Zacchaeus choosing him from the crowd to share a meal together.
Have you experienced the shame of your greatest failures becoming public? Jesus made a special trip to Samaria, a place avoided by Jews to meet a woman in the heat of the day because she hoped she could be alone and free from ridicule and gossip. Her greatest fear was eradicated… She encountered someone who knew all of her sins and yet loved her completely.
Are you still battling your demons? Jesus demonstrated he has the power of deliverance.
Has your religious pride blinded you to your own spiritual needs? Like Nicodemus, you can discover the opportunity to be born a new.
At your moment to stand, did you cave into the pressure? So did Peter, but Christ’s plan for him did not change.
Have you ever felt dumb, ignored, from the wrong side of the tracks, from a broken family?, Well, maybe your leadership material… Christ’s followers said to think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things–and the things that are not–to nullify the things that are.
To anyone… and Everyone… he speaks LIFE!
Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus said ‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest… learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Mark 10:45 I did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give my life as a ransom for many.
Everything he did… was for you…

Philippians 2:5-11 Christ Jesus Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a human being,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death–
even death on a cross!
2 Corinthians 5:21 For God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Romans 5:6-8 For, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,( broken, lost, A wretch is the description John Newton used when he pinned the anthem, for all who recognize the amazing grace of God) Christ died for us.
