“WHEN GOD SAYS NO”

Acts 16:1-10

I. INTRODUCTION:

II. LEARNING HOW TO TRUST THE DIRECTIONS OF GOD:
A. Bringing on Timothy: vv. 1-3

  1. Well-spoken of amongst the Brethren.
  2. Son of a Jewish woman who was a believer.
  3. Son of a Greek father.
    B. The impact of their visits: vv. 4-5

  4. Delivering the decrees by the apostles and elders.

  5. Strengthening the faith, which lead to elevated numbers daily.

C. Being redirected by the Spirit: vv. 6-8

    III. PRINCIPLES TO PERSONALLY APPLY:

A. When God closes a door it is always for the purpose of opening another.

B. The ultimate priority in Evangelism is discipleship: (Matt 28:19-20)

C. Having a right passion for the lost comes from knowing God.
