SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS

Warm Up Question: Share about a recent life change or transition. What was a challenge for you in that time?

HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Read 2 Chronicles 2:1-13.
2. What are your first observations as you read this?
3. Outline the order of events.
4. What does this reveal about Solomon’s priorities?
5. Why did Solomon’s answer please God so much?

HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.

  1. Solomon asked for wisdom and knowledge instead of power or wealth. What would you have asked for if God asked you the same question?
  2. How do you typically respond when you recognize your own limitations?
  3. How can we differentiate between outward behavior change and heart transformation? Can you think of a time when you tried to “act right” without truly being changed inside

HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
1. How can you live with a better acceptance of your limitations? What does it look like for you to depend more fully on God?
2. Is there an area of your Christian life that you are doing the right thing, but for the wrong reasons? If God is primarily interested in your heart, what steps can you take to align your heart to God’s desires?
