VISION 2024 PT 1: VISION, MISSION, PURPOSE

Proverbs 29:18a
Where there is no vision, the people perish…”

Matthew 28:19-20
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.

“Where there is no vision, there is no hope.” - George Washington Carver

The 3 Points Of Our Vision Statement Shape Our Faith, Purpose and Mission:
“Christ and Community”
“His Table, Our Table”
“Building God’s Kingdom through building God’s people”

Christ and Community -

Colossians 1:17-18
“And he (Christ) is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church.”

Our relationship with Jesus defines our identity as a community, binding us together with a common foundation of faith that holds us steady in the challenges of life.

His Table, Our Table — A Place of

and

Luke 22:19
“And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.’”

The vision of “His Table, Our Table” extends beyond communion. It reflects a call to extend that same grace to others in our everyday lives.

Build God’s Kingdom through Building God’s People — Our Collective

Ephesians 4:12-13
“…to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,
attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

Our Mission:
Tables Church exists to connect people to the life changing person, power and message of Jesus Christ.

Our Purpose:
To equip, empower and release people to live the Gospel every day, to everyone, everywhere.

Building God’s people is a long-term commitment that requires patience and a heart of grace for discipleship.

Matthew 28:19-20
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.

TABLE TIME:

How does having a Vision cause us to live with more intentionality and purpose?

How can we ensure that Christ remains the focus of everything we do, and why is having a Vision so important for our spiritual health as a individuals and a community?

In what ways have you experienced the power of Christ centered community in your life, and how has it strengthened your faith?

In what ways can we strengthening the sense of community at Tables Church, both inside and outside of Sunday gatherings?

Romans 12:13 says:
“Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”

How does intentionally practicing hospitality help us align with God’s vision for loving others and building His Kingdom?

1 Peter 4:9-10
“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

Why do you think God emphasizes hospitality as an important part of the Christian life, and how can this practice lead us and others to experience deeper relationship and growth?

TAKE SOME TIME AND PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER AT YOUR TABLE:

WHAT IS GOD SAYING TO ME?
