“Rebuilding Worship”

Nehemiah 7-8
Series – “NEHEMIAH: A Story of Rebuilding”

The wall has been completed. The gates have been finished. Responsibilities have been assigned. And the residents of Jerusalem have gathered. What’s next? Nehemiah calls on “Ezra the scribe to bring out the Book of the Law of Moses.”

Charles Swindoll writes that every genuine revival in history begins with two major thrusts: First, the proclamation of God’s Word, and second, the responsive mobilization of God’s people.

God’s Word leads to Worship! We read of an amazing worship in Nehemiah 8 that guides our worship through the Word of God.

Memory Verse:

“Ezra opened the book. All the people could see him because he was standing above them; and as he opened it, the people all stood up. Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, ‘Amen! Amen!’ Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.” —Nehemiah 8:5-6 NIV
