Loud and Clear – the most exciting way God speaks
GOD WANTS you to hear His voice even more than YOU DESIRE to hear it.
“… and after the fire came a gentle WHISPER” —1 Kings 19:12 (NIV)
The most exciting way to hear from God is through the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate (Holy Spirit) won’t come. If I go away, then I will send him to you. —John 16:7 (NLT)
A prompting from the Holy Spirit will:
1. Never contradict God’s Word
2. Never be motivated by selfishness
3. Often require a sacrifice
4. Often require you to take a risk
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. —John 16:13 (NIV)
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. —Philippians 2:3 (NIV)
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. —Galatians 5:16 (NLT)
