1 Peter 5:6-7
6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Cast literally means to hurl
Anxiety increases when self-dependence increases.
My part is simply faithful obedience.
- You’re mighty and 2. You care.
Sometimes instead of casting, we complain.
Cast all your anxiety on Him for He cares for you.
Sometimes instead of casting we try to cover.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober minded. Be vigilant. Your enemy, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
When we try to cover our anxiety instead of casting it, we open the door for the devil to sneak into our lives.
Cast all your anxiety on Him for He cares for you.
Sometimes instead of casting, we carry.
Casting works together with humbling.
One of the greatest struggles in our lives is when we try to carry things we weren’t designed to carry.
Cast all your anxiety on Him for He cares for you.
