Empower the servant of Christ with revelations from the word of God to pursue and obtain victory over life’s circumstances
Now there was a woman who had been married to a member of a group of prophets. She appealed to Elisha, saying, “My husband, your servant, is dead. You know how he feared the Lord. But now someone he owed money to has come to take my two children away as slaves.” Elisha said to her, “What can I do for you? Tell me what you still have left in the house.” She said, “Your servant has nothing at all in the house except a small jar of oil.” —2 Kings 4:1-2 (CEB)**
When we serve God we gain:
- Christ has done everything for each of us to be accepted
For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in your own heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in his heart that a man becomes right with God; and with his mouth he tells others of his faith, confirming his salvation. —Romans 10:9-10 (TLB)
And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has. —Romans 8:17 (TPT)
Five Revelations of a Servant of God
1. Servants
than others
I must Think Differently, Follow Completely
But my servant Caleb thinks differently and follows me completely. So I will bring him into the land he has already seen, and his children will own that land. —Numbers 14:24 (NCV)
Trust and Follow
Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives.
…So leave the corruption and compromise;
leave it for good,” says God.
“Don’t link up with those who will pollute you.
I want you all for myself.
I’ll be a Father to you;
you’ll be sons and daughters to me.”
The Word of the Master, God. —2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (MSG)
2. Servants
inconveniences
Four obstacles to committed service to God:
- Flesh - my selfish, instinctive desire to not trust but choose to save and provide for myself
- World - philosophical and cultural differences from the Kingdom
- Citrcumstances - situational obstacles that stand in the way of my service
- Enemy - demonic distraction designed to discourage, frustrate and collapse my faith
3. Servants are Made through
to God
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make [transform] you fishers of men. —Matthew 4:19 (KJV)
- Transformation beyond the natural
4. God
to HIS servants
If they hear and choose to serve Him, then they end their days in prosperity and their years in felicity. —Job 36:11 (VOICE)
Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand). —Jeremiah 33:3 (AMPC)
- Entitled to win
So approximately 3,000 warriors were sent, but they were soundly defeated…Joshua and the elders of Israel tore their clothing in dismay, threw dust on their heads, and bowed face down to the ground before the Ark of the Lord until evening. —Joshua 7:4, 6 (NLT)
I don’t have to lose
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. —Galatians 6:9 (NLT)
