Questions:
How has your understanding of spiritual warfare changed over the years? What does it mean that we are not fighting for victory but from victory?
Read John 10:10 together with 1 Peter 5:8. From those two verses, what do you understand Satan’s mission to be with Jesus’ followers?
Read Romans 16:20, as well as Philippians 4:6-7. How would you describe the “peace of God?”
If God is the God “of peace,” what do you suppose Satan tries to attack in our lives? What sorts of weapons do you think Satan uses in those attacks?
What word or words in that verse give you confidence that God’s victory is inevitable and imminent? Read Romans 16:19. While we wait for God’s inevitable victory over Satan, what should we be busy doing in the meantime?
What does being “wise to what is good, and innocent to what is evil” look like, in your view? How does this relate to spiritual warfare?
What steps of obedience do you need to take this week while you wait for God’s inevitable crushing of Satan?
