John 21:25 (NLT)
Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written.

One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized.

Matthew 3:14-15 (NLT)
14 talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me? ”15 But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So John agreed to baptize him.

2. The Baptism of Jesus was .

Luke 3:21-22 (NLT)
…As he was praying, the heavens opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove.

John 1:29 (NLT)
…“Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Romans 6:4-5 (NLT)
For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.5 Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was.

3. The Baptism of Jesus was .

Luke 3:22 (NLT)
…a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

Luke 12:50 (NLT)
I have a terrible baptism of suffering ahead of me, and I am under a heavy burden until it is accomplished.

John 16:31-33 (MSG)
31-33 Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.”
