SERMON DISCUSSION GUIDE

CONVERSATION STARTER
How has God been speaking to you through His Word lately? What have you been reading, what is God telling you, and how are you responding to his Word?

DEEPER
Read John 3:1-6. What is your understanding of what it means to be “born again” and the sequence in which it takes place? What is your response to Pastor Josh’s message surrounding regeneration?

Read John 6:44. Let’s do some digging together! Where else, besides the verses mentioned by Pastor Josh, can we find the Greek word for “draw” in God’s Word?. What is the essence of the term “draw” in those contexts? Why is this important?

Pastor Josh posed the question, “ Has the doctrine of predestination ever caused you to praise God like Paul, regardless of how you define predestination?” Why is this question important? And what is your answer to it?

In what ways should this message give us confidence in our Christian walk?

What stood out to you in this week’s sermon? What were your biggest takeaways?

Are there any questions you still have regarding free will, liberty, and predestination that you need answers to? If so, what are they? And what are some steps you can take to help find those answers?
