Questions for Spiritual Growth
Our Cornerstone mission is To Know Christ and Make Him
Known. Community Groups help us to live out our mission as
we discuss the Scripture passage from the sermon, how to
apply it, and pray for one another.
What do you love about Jesus Christ? Make a list of His
attributes or qualities that lead you to treasure Christ.
What is the difference between knowing Christ and
knowing about Christ?
Read 2 Corinthians 5:7 and 1 Peter 1:8-9. How does faith
relate to physical sight? How does it relate to seeing with
the eyes of the heart?
Read John 8:43 and 1 Corinthians 1:22-24. What does it
mean to hear Christ? How is it possible? Why do some
respond positively and some respond negatively?
The phrase “in Christ” is used in Ephesians 1:1; 1:3; 1:4;
1:7; 1:9; 1:10-11; 1:13; and 1:20. What does it mean to
be “taught” in Him in 4:21?
Read Psalm 34:8 and 1 Peter 2:2-3. How can someone
“taste” and see that the Lord is good? How would you
explain this concept to someone who never heard it
before?
How does believing in Christ change your life?
