Ephesians 4:20-21
December 10, 2023

Main point: In Ephesians 4:20-21 Paul describes four ways a
relationship with Christ changes our lives.

I. Knowing Christ
Verse 20

II. Hearing Christ
Verse 21a

III. Learning Christ
Verse 21b

IV. Believing Christ
Verse 21c

Here are some books which may assist you in deeper study
and application of the truths presented in today’s sermon.
While the elders cannot endorse every concept presented in
each book, we do believe these resources will be helpful in
profitably thinking through today’s topic.

Questions for Spiritual Growth

Our Cornerstone mission is To Know Christ and Make Him
Known. Community Groups help us to live out our mission as
we discuss the Scripture passage from the sermon, how to
apply it, and pray for one another.

  1. What do you love about Jesus Christ? Make a list of His
attributes or qualities that lead you to treasure Christ.

  2. What is the difference between knowing Christ and
    knowing about Christ?

  3. Read 2 Corinthians 5:7 and 1 Peter 1:8-9. How does faith
relate to physical sight? How does it relate to seeing with
    the eyes of the heart?

  4. Read John 8:43 and 1 Corinthians 1:22-24. What does it
mean to hear Christ? How is it possible? Why do some
respond positively and some respond negatively?

    1:7; 1:9; 1:10-11; 1:13; and 1:20. What does it mean to
be “taught” in Him in 4:21?

  6. Read Psalm 34:8 and 1 Peter 2:2-3. How can someone
“taste” and see that the Lord is good? How would you
explain this concept to someone who never heard it
    before?

  7. How does believing in Christ change your life?
